It’s a book of eclectic street, candid, creative, and non-Al photography. The experienced or inexperienced photographer can enjoy, amuse, shift perspective, and criticize. The book has been a decade in the making because, like most photographers, thousands of photos can be taken, but only about 5% are close to great and 5% outstanding. I’ve tried to present the latter.
Good photographs and some commentary can amaze anyone over and over. This book would make a great coffee-table book, a treasured tome to put on your bookshelf, a gift to someone, or a starting point at which you’d like to purchase, print, and frame a favorite(s) in the book.
Paul Domenick lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he took up photography as a hobby. For over a decade, he has taken a myriad of photos on the streets of cities, candids from all over the US, and creative, non-Al-generated composite photos.
Paul has recently begun posting his best photos on Flickr and adding them to groups to get to know other photographers and share insights about taking and processing powerful images. His favorite group is an assignment group in which fellow photographers post a challenge of the week and then vote on who did best on the challenge. Relatives and friends of Paul have been telling him he needs to show and sell his photos for over three years now. He has finally decided to do it. He taught high school English for 18 years and got burnt out, which led to his freedom to pursue photography as more than a hobby.

I met Paul Domenick when he joined ArtsUnited in Broward County. I was president of the organization. Paul’s photography immediately stood out from the others. While there are lots of photographers, few do it as an art form like Paul. Paul looks at the world differently.
My art form is also photography. I tend to focus on the small items that people miss in their daily lives. Old chipping paint, stark shadows. I think Paul and I look at the world around us in similar ways.
I have seen photos from Paul Domenick’s collection many times, and I just have to tell you I just love that he’s publishing a book of them. His photography is so unique and like something I could see in New York city galleries. The colors he use are so vibrant and tranquil depending what he’s showing from his red chair on the tracks or a photo of people in black and white. Paul’s a very creative artist and love to see more of his work.
I have known Paul Domenick since we were in High School. One thing I have always loved about him, besides how fabulous he is, is his creative eye. When Paul first started taking photos, I thought he had been doing it for years. His attention to detail and his creativity was astounding. Every time he posts a new photo, I am amazed at the work he created. I am proud of where he has grown as a photographer and I’m even more proud of him publishing this book.
